Electrical Resistance Welding (ERW)

SOFRATEST provides Ultrasonic systems for the inspection of ERW pipes.

The Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) manufacturing process utilizes resistance heating and high pressure to create a longitudinal weld. A strip is cold-rolled and subsequently deformed by rollers to achieve a pipe with the desired outside diameter.

These pipes are intended for the transportation of oil, natural gas, and other liquid or gaseous substances.
